The Babbling Bleating Old Man

2006

Filed under: My Circle of Life

18 days more to go and I will usher in year 2007. It’s time to wrap up year 2006 before I forget what happened when I grow older.

*Atuk:coughs coughs* emoticon

January. An uneventful one. Yeah. I was fuelled with emotions. You can call it PMS. Don’t get the wrong meaning. To me it means "Pre Missing-Everyone Syndrome". emoticon . Posted to New Zealand is like being sent off in the World Cup Finals.

February. Chinese New Year. Didn’t really cared about the Ang Paus. Was counting my days before leaving for New Zealand. *sobs* emoticon. 12th of Feb, the day I longed for, but…*sobs* emoticon . Well… there I was… in Christchurch (not to be mistaken with Auckland please…)

March. Settling in almost perfectly. Classes. Studies. Etc. Until the day I was stalked by this stranger who asked for money. Moved out to Newnham Terrace, then was when life really started emoticon

April. Ahuh. Eurotrip. Emm.. no… Queenstown trip. Hehe. How can I forget. The trip that never was. A crash, a weather and a quarrel. Luckily we did not ask for more. I want to go back Queenstown one day - minus the crash, bad weather and squabble. We went to Kaikoura too. Hehe.

May. My favourite and least favourite month of the year. Let me start off with the least favourite one first. Exams. Kinda used to it. My exams never fail to fall during my birthday. Darn darn darn. My birthday? I have to admit that I was outwitted by these trio of scumbags (ey.. don’t be offended.. it’s a friendly compliment like how you people call me "apek" and "buncit" emoticon). They actually abducted me and threw me a surprise dinner. You guys really had nothing better to do but make me cry. Darn. And of course, birthday presents from Malaysia. YL, LL, YF, SH, MF and WL. I really felt at home emoticon. A-huh. I went to Sydney to attend my sister’s graduation. emoticon

June. Bersatu Games in Dunedine. My leg did not help much making me a vivid spectator throughout the tournament. And it snowed in Christchurch. Yea yea.. snow.. y-i-i-p-e-e! emoticon

July. Obsession with MATLAB. Hehe. Newnham people and Newbridge people know best. Keke. And ah-hoi.. first World Cup overseas emoticon No favourites actually. But I owe someone for betting on Brazil. Hehe.

August. Dato’ Mustapa’s visit. Three of us did the video in two weeks. Satisfaction guaranteed. Screwed exam results guaranteed, too emoticon

September. Kinda dry. But I realize that Christchurch is not bad afterall. Exam trauma looms, accompanied by MATLAB case study and lab tests.

October. Exams. Everyone went bonkers. Some had a bad stomach experience (Hahaha.. Farid)

November. House broken into by a burglar. Thumbs up to Munzir for saving the day. Without him, we are like so burglared. All bow to Munzir! emoticon. Sorry… I mean Munzir’s bike. Keke. Then, back in Malaysia. The day I longed for emoticon.

December. Still doing my practical work. Looking forward to catch up with former aides before returning to NZ. emoticon I miss you three bafoons anyway. I will get a new jacket before returning. You just wait and see.
