The Babbling Bleating Old Man

Christchurch

Yes. Finally I’m posting an article which will make some sense to the readers. Well, it’s not that I have plenty of people reading my blog anyway. I’m glad it’s finally over. But to be precise, glad is not the apt word to describe what is running inside me now.

It all stretched from the middle of 2006 when I was assigned to prepare a video presentation for Tok Pa’s visit. The disparity I witnessed convinced me to write the article below:

How can I forget the flak I went through. I was in depression for a couple of days wondering if what I did was correct. Well, probably I was less mature and patient then. I participated in the CMSA committee for 2007/2008 - trying to make a change. It all ended yesterday when the new committee elected.

I’ve a few good points to reflect on. I can’t judge if things were better compared to last time. In my personal opinion, most Malaysians aren’t too bothered to participate. Society quality comes at the last few rungs of their priority list. The best things are free food, free fun, free etc. Sorry if I am being sceptical with the words I chose - that’s the hard fact to chew.

This is the irony. A group of people tries to send the message let’s get together and understand one another better. The other group isn’t too bothered. Seems like a bad mismatch. Probably, I will concede that we are a failing society.
